Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones EmpFirst uses, and how to control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy. Last updated 15 July 2026.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between pages and visits. Some are essential for a site to work; others help the site owner understand how the site is used or attribute a referral. Similar technologies such as local storage and click identifiers work the same way, and this policy covers them too.

The Cookies We Use

EmpFirst uses three categories:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the site to load correctly and remember basic preferences, such as whether you have dismissed a notice. The site does not function properly without these.
  • Analytics cookies — help us count visitors and see which guides are read most, in aggregate. They tell us that a page is popular, not who you are.
  • Affiliate / click cookies — when you click through to a casino, a cookie or click identifier records that the referral came from EmpFirst so the operator can pay the correct commission. It does not track your activity on the casino or give us access to your account.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by the third parties whose services we use — our analytics provider and the affiliate networks that manage operator links. Once you click through to a casino, that operator sets its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control third-party cookies; the links in our privacy policy and on the operators' sites explain them.

How to Control or Opt Out

You are in control of cookies:

  • Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings, and set it to warn you before accepting new ones. Blocking analytics and affiliate cookies will not stop the guides from working.
  • You can browse in private/incognito mode to limit cookies to a single session.
  • You can use your browser's "do not track" setting and platform-level ad-tracking controls on your device.
